Not a great update...

First off, my daughter and I have really enjoyed playing Createrria, because of the creative options to make our own fun games, and the social options to get others to play our games. I spent about $30 dollars to unlock most of the content (all of the gameplay content, and a few themes and characters etc), which was fine given how much we were creating and playing games, and also nice to support the developers. The latest update just put up a lot more friction to create games, now that it costs a premium gem rather than free currency to make a new level, and it takes a much greater effort to get daily rewards. We used to check in daily, but now that the daily rewards are so hard to get, and we don’t have the currency to create new levels, there’s a lot less incentive to use the app, which is a shame given how much we spent unlocking all of the game pieces to make it more functional. Hopefully they change it back, but it also wouldn’t be surprising if this was just a push for higher revenue regardless of what happens with the user base. Hopefully they find a more user-friendly balance between money and enjoyment for the users (in which case I’ll amend this review).
